Mica Mat® 2249XS is a low binder, 6.3 mil, 2-ply VPI tape with 4 mil calcined mica paper and a 2 mil glass backer. When used with the proper resin, Mica Mat® 2249XS exhibits excellent electrical characteristics over a wide temperature range.
Designed for use as ground insulation on low and medium voltage coils and is compatible with a number of commercially available solventless epoxy and polyester resins. 2249XS is designed for VPI impregnation and, when used with the proper resin, exhibits excellent electrical characteristics over a wide temperature range.
